Post-1586...
This whole business really disgusts me! It's obvious the republicons don't have the nation's best interest at heart.
Rick, You do realize that Senator Obama voted against raising the debt limit while in the Senate. Seriously, get a subscription to the New York Times or the Washington Post. That Newscorpse is about as nuts on the left as the Tea Party is on the right. What we need now is informed citizens, not people shouting at each other from entrenched positions.
Seems it IS true that Obama voted down the raising of the debt ceiling, however, you are missing the point. The Repugs didn't think nothing of raising the debt ceiling to incredible heights when they had their pathetic repug in the office, who got us into this mess we are in.
And I can NOT stand how the repugnant repugs are doing their damndest to prevent Obama from raising taxes ON THE RICH, but don't give a damn about the rest of us and our social security. Shows where the repugs priorities are don't ya think????
Jake - No, I did not know Obama voted against raising the debt limit while a Senator, and yes, it's true that I'm not as informed as I could be. I agree that the far left is just as annoying as the far right. But, to me, the republicons' use of the debt limit as a political tool to keep their rich friends' taxes low to non-existant is revolting.
