I dont have much time for these new-fangled "arthouse" sculptures for museums, galleries and the like; I find they tend to stick out like a sore thumb amongst more ordinary buildings, some middle-class students idea of "nouveau-chiroscopo dadavism" masquerading as art [when really they dont have a clue...they think avant-garde means extremism when it means the remote opposite] makes it worthy.
    Instead, these structures just look out of place and cost the earth for local taxpayers...an expensive exercise in "free" art expression...didactism at its worst if you ask anyone who has to pay for it.
    Rant over! On the plus side [there is one] when a special event is on, these buildings can look attractive lit up, just like the one in these pics.

  3. totally beautiful - love the way the usual thing about architecture being stone and steel is subverted by the diaphanous light show of a roof
