That first one is pretty much how I feel about retirement. I'm here. I earned the right to sit back and enjoy life. Drives me crazy when people tell me that I need to find something else to do just because they have no concept of >not< working.

ReplyDeleteThe rich industrialist knew about economies of scale. Capitalism doesn't require the fisherman to expand his operation. He is free to participate in the economy at any level. If he only wants to catch one fish, he has that right. The point of capitalism is, without a fishing industry, we would all have to be fishermen if we wanted to eat fish. Not everyone wants to be a fisherman. Get it? Progress requires specialization.
