DeleteIt's that M in M person again. JiEL is a French/Canadian and sometimes has an issue with the American English language, but we understand what he is saying. I'd be interested to see how you'd manage replying in French with any of your comments without the use of a computer translator. Language in the present, especially when it concerns texting, isn't about correct spelling. It's a matter of making yourself understood. IMHO SRSLY IDK TTYL Get the idea?

DeleteMAGA NEVER "thinks" about all of the stuff that is sent in the mail, including legal documents. BUT they know about all of the "junk mail" they get! They probably think that those other 39 countries don't have postal systems!

ReplyDeleteIn Canada we are automatically registered on ALL election lists as soon as we are 18yo.
ReplyDeleteAt birth we are registered on a «social security» for life and this is needed for anything like doing our income taxe report or opening a bank account or get a job etc...
No need to register for any elections and our home address is automatically change as we change it for any government matter and also, we never say our association to any of our 5 parties. It has to be secret and personal.
When an election is coming we receive by mail a car from the Director of Election (Canada or Province of Québec) to know where and when to vote. Bringing this card and some IDs like driver's licence or a any other card or even a passport. Often just the electricity bill is ok.
I lived in Argentina and Brazil and there's no mail in ballots there.

DeleteI can confirm that in the UK we have postal voting. I am registered for it as I often work away from home, quite often during the elections. I do so via the same checks that would allow me to vote in person. It is also possible to give someone your proxy vote if you are unable to go to the ballot box yourself.
