Andrew McNally House, c.1880
Unfortunately, this house was destroyed in the L.A. fires.
Bucolic images of sub tropical flowers and snow covered mountain peaks, why wonder everyone wanted to come to California back then ! Another historic home destroyed in LA, the McNally House will probably be replaced by another tasteless McMansion. Those fires also claimed the Will Rogers Estate in the Palisades and an aunt’s one time family cottage in Sierra Madre. -Rj

Rj - It certainly was a non-discriminating fire.
