ReplyDeleteYesterday at Happy Hour from my front porch, I looked up into a sky of blue and dotted with clean, white cloud formations and started to think the deep thoughts: the vast expanse of the universe, the insignificance of my life in the scheme of things, the hope to find happiness on this speck of dust we call earth. I texted the picture of the sky and my thoughts to a gay couple I know and told them not to worry about me, it was the glass of wine that was doing the talking. One texted back, "I see a penis cloud." He was just being funny I'm sure, but I looked at the picture again and didn't see anything that really resembled a phallus, just a protrusion of white in one area. His husband later texted, "I saw a penis, too." I chided them, "Look, I'm the one doing without right now, shouldn't I have seen the cloud phallus first. For a married couple with two small daughters, you're starting to sound a little desperate." "I'm worried about you two" I responded.

ReplyDeleteAnd those high rise buildings so ubiquitous in Asia to house everyone, something we could do in the USA to alleviate homelessness. Then again most Asians have common sense, many Americans not do much.
