House number 3 is just like the house I was raised in England. Houses are much smaller in England than in the States.
ReplyDeleteGoing upstairs to the bathroom was exercise ! Most houses in England are brick because clay is plentiful and through the centuries we decimated our forests. Back when I was a lad Gran would cook porridge in the morning and the smell would permeate the house. Went to visit the old family house and they were cooking porridge, talk about an olfactory memory. 🇬🇧
I love all of them, but I'll take #1 only because we need three bedrooms.

ReplyDeleteThere are quite advanced for their time, because they have decent-sized kitchens that are not overshadowed by gigantic dining rooms. In fact, two of them have eat-in kitchens. Very progressive!
