Damn right (first one). Hell is one of bthe most implausible concepts ever created by the human mind. It has no conceivable function except to serve as a threat to enforce compliance.
The Islamic Hell is at least as bad as the Christian one. Same exact concept.
Here in Province of Québec, before 1960, we were living in era called the «Great Darkness» (la Grande Noirceur) when our Catholic Church was accomplice with a conservative government to make us fear of everything and oblige women to give birth to many children as possible.
I was born in 1950 and my own mother had to fight against it as she was sick after giving birth of me.
Then in 1960 we rejected this and elected the Provincial Liberal Party and then came the «Quiet Revolution» that excluded the Catholic Church from the political sphere.
The result was that we openned up to new ideas and our policies made it possible for us to grow better as a free society.
One of the good achievement of these policies was the nationalisation of all hydro electricity by buying all of those little power dams and making a new national power company that is now Hydro Québec. Hydro Québec did invest in many huge dam project that is now making us a greener country with low cost electricity.
Hydro Québec is owned by all of us, Québecois and is evebn making lot of money which is given to our government.
Not forgetting of our many other advantage for all of our people.
In USA you seem to be going through the same dilema and your ultra right Evangelicals are fighting to maintain their grip on your governement and not fighting for a real freedom cor all Americans but only for some of those who are cionsrvatives but more regressives.
HOPE for a better outcome on Novemvber 5.
