I hope this building isn't doomed as it goes up for sale next month. Such an impressive design, utilizing Art Deco influence from the 1920's when it was first proposed. The blue/green patina on sections of the exterior are striking. It needs to be saved and enjoyed by people for years to come. Fingers crossed. For some unforeseen reason really speaks to me even though this is the first I've seen for read about it.
Thanks for sharing this. I love his designs, but am not an avid follower of his work. I do like that he called his designs "Usonian". And think that is how US Americans should refer to themselves.
Frank Lloyd Wright is one of my all time favorite architect. I like the way he is using materials and colors to make his realisations so close to nature like the Falls house blending into the nature and the falls. The Johnson Wax building again shows how he could really show what this company was all about a the architecture of this building is like a was melting material by its roundish corners.

Love this building! His Johnson Wax HQ building in Racine WI isn't as decorative as this one, but it's simplicity is pretty powerful.
