People, naturally, want to live in "good neighborhoods" and such, so they get there over time. THEN complain about property taxes once there, in their new and expensive dwelling. Never seeming to realize that local taxes make up the difference between what is needed and what the feds help pay for. If corporations don't pay their fair share, then it trickles-down to the local taxpayer, by default. Whether at the federal or state level!
Problem is that if the state or feds contributes money to local operation, then they also want some control in how the money is spent. Which can be troubling to some!
Republicans can't spend money well. If they voted the country a pay raise, by NOT giving so many tax breaks, then it would be much more obvious. So they authorize spending in legislation, THEN worry about how to not pay for it, by observation. As the Republican-admin economy start to head toward recession, then a Democrat is elected and gets blamed for everything the Republicans had done, so the Republicans skirt that blame by blaming others for what they created. Same OLD song and dance, but they keep getting away with it! Which leads us to the debt ceiling issues! NOT a good way to run a business, but Republicans obviously think it is.

Bernie Sanders is a joke! Why are we sending Billions of our tax dollars to Ukraine! Democrats are going to break this country. Sad that Gay people fall for the crap put out by Democrats. Just shows they are some of the most stupid people alive. The current heading into a recession is caused by poor Democratic leadership. I wonder when Gay people will ever wake up and stop being puppets for the Democratic Party. Definitely a crop of village idiots!
Caljoe - Essentially, our entire system is a joke. But you are wrong about the Democrats being the stupidest people alive. THAT honor goes to anyone who votes repugliCON which, I'm sure, you are among them. I'm sure you know your way around that village. It is THEY who gave billions in tax cuts to the wealthy, thereby strangling this country into a recession. It is THEY who are legislating citizens' rights in the same direction as the Nazis.
