I couldn't post yesterday cuz Blogger was having some kind of problem. You can't imagine the withdrawal I went through! And there was also a problem with the comments not posting.
Those things aside, I'd also made the huge mistake of clicking on this official-looking thing that popped up called "MacProtector" which said I was infected. Stupid, I know. Well, IT ended up planting a worm or something that allowed all kinds of porn sites to continually pop up unless I bought their probuct! My friend John, who's so smart when it comes to technology, was able to go into the guts of my Mini and delete the damn thing. I never would have known how to do that. Thanks John!
I fully agree with you on this. I had the same problem.

Damn virus
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but sometimes I wish they'd string up those jerks who create these viruses and trojans and whatchamacallits! I play video games on my Playstation 3 and due to some idiot hackers, the system has been completely shut down for weeks. My home computer had to get completely wiped not long ago cuz I had stupid viruses. Makes me so mad. Good thing I have hot photos at your blog to calm me down! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, glad your computer has been fixed! Have a good one!
Ray - It was a bummer.
ReplyDeleteInsolente - They're a pisser.
WhiteCat - Makes me mad too! And yes, they should be strung up!
Ive clicked on a few myself, early on when I first got my computer. Horrendous hassle.
ReplyDeleteThe only tip I can offer you and anyone is this; if you get something that dosent open in its own window when youre on a site/blog, then its probably an attempt to hack into your computer or plant a virus.
Basically, everything you go on to should have its own window that you can 'click' to, if it dosent DONT click on it!
Sorry to hear about your virus hastle, Rick.
ReplyDeleteMy AVG anti-virus program USUALLY takes care of stuff like that.
I've also found out that if you can't recover from a deadly virus, there IS a cheap solution.
Try restarting your computer, but before it loads up, UNPLUG the computer. Then plug it in again and start it up like normal.
The operating system assumes that something went wrong with loading and tries to "fix the problem". What normally happens is that it does a system restore to another point in the past BEFORE the virus happened.
Has worked for me a couple of times.
Nice pic by the way -lol
