I'm intrigued with drag queens, and in the early years of this blog I used to post pictures of them. I'm impressed how a man's persona can be changed with a little makeup. (All right, a lot of makeup.) Most of those images came from a blog in Florida that I used to visit, long-time forgotten now. These images I snatched from Mistress Maddie. I hope she doesn't mind...

Drag queens are the best people!
ReplyDeleteYes this queen is a tough competitor. His makeup skills are sickening. What I did drag it always amazes me to know end the transformation process of just knowing how to manipulate makeup and the use of wig stacking. From the very early age I was always drawn to do and drag, and still do do it for special appearances..

Who led the charge at Compton’s Cafeteria in San Francisco and the Stonewell Inn in NYC ? The trans and the queens, that’s who ! People fed up with the abuse from the authorities and the public. Others living the double life of a lie, living in that comfortable closet to appease family, friends, co-workers and the public. A comfortable closet that to their horror became a stultifying and suffocating tomb.
We cannot go back to that as trans people are targeted for abuse by this maga regime we are all living under.
We have a draft dodging fuck of privilege who has the nerve to demand loyal trans service members be thrown out of all branches of our armed services.
We need to speak out and loud just as ACT UP did with the deadly threat of AIDS and a none responsive government.

Rj - Just recently our little gay senior lunch group got two new visitors. They're from Arkansas and one is a trans woman. She and her partner sold their house and packed their clothes and left. They were experiencing too much hate down there.
