I have NO FUCKING CLUE what that thing in the first video was, but I sure as HELL will not go clamming ever again!!!!
ReplyDeleteRade - I posted a different video with that creature and someone knew what it was but, of course, I don't remember.

ReplyDeleteThe crow was a powerful message.

ReplyDelete#1) Yikes, he was a big boy!!
#3) Too cute, the Bee Gee's song made the spider much less scary. Oh, guys check out the Jonas Brothers new version of the Bee Gee's song "No Time to Talk"!! it is good.
Last one) The crow was a sad one, but I did't get the message that LeftField got.
Anon, I must be getting cryptic in my old age. I should have been more clear. I saw the art as commentary on polution and poisoning of the Earth. I Seattle, where I live, crows are revered. Dead crows, ominous. That this was made of tires (nice recycling), made it powerful to me.

DeleteOh, I indeed see your point now. Thanks for your answer.
The first is a cuttlefish (from the octopus and squid family), incidentally dead and buried by the tide in the sand on the beach. You won't believe it, but here in Spain they are highly prized...ummm, delicious...although this one appears to be in an advanced state of decomposition and is therefore inedible.
ReplyDeleteThe second is the chicks of a bird specialized in walking on floating aquatic vegetation(a Jacana?), hence the long toes, but seeing them on land and not in their natural habitat makes them look strange and disproportionate.
The third is a male jumping spider. It is performing its courtship dance to seduce a female who is not shown in the images. I seem to remember seeing it in a news report and that it was native to Hawaii. The report also featured other similar species, but each with different colors and different dances.
Fernando - Thank you for all of that information.
