#4 absolutely true. This statement reminds me about Mother Teresa.
ReplyDeleteMT told the dying or poor people that they should be happy with their condition because God was making them feel the pains of Christ. For this reason they were privileged. Not only that: when she herself felt like she didn't believe in anything (while on the outside she demonstrated that she had great faith) she thought that, through this inner darkness, Jesus made her feel desperation on the Cross or other similar bullshit.
Xersex - Such delusion.
ReplyDeleteSo true, an obsession with the suffering of Christ is a tradition in the Catholic Church. Some Catholics believe that the suffering and misery of the sick and less fortunate will guarantee their entrance to Heaven. That is easier than helping out personally and finally dealing with serious social issues. Some fanatical Catholics believe in self-flagellation and self torment.
DeleteThey despise Pope Francis for trying to move away from these “traditions”. -Rj
