When was the last time you heard a CEO really compliment or thank their employees for doing a good job of keeping them rich? Ain't going to happen, just as they continue to talk about how they can't give them a decent pay raise so their employees can have a better life. THAT would be "inflationary" and pay them more for what they are now doing "for less", they would claim.
Perhaps what this country needs is a pay scale that pays enough to allow the workers to live comfortably, but also rewards them for doing a better job with more productivity? All the while giving the customer a better consumer experience? Otherwise known as "profit sharing"! What a concept! Make it law for non-union employees!
That would allow minimum wage be what it is, but also allow employees to do better and get paid better, too. THEN give employees access to company profits so they can see how well or bad they are doing.
