Cleaning the inside glass of our car is one of the banes of my existence. Even though I know all the things to do, I will still read an article on the subject to see if there is something new and/or quicker that I can try. Alas, there isn't. But, I digress. The purpose of this post is to show the inconsistency of these particular instructions...

(Forgive me if this is a duplicate post; Blogger is being stupid)
ReplyDeleteI just use a DRY microfiber cloth and it works just fine. (Your mileage may vary.)
Mark - Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI saw a vid where the guy used M. Clean Magic Eraser first, then used his glass cleaner.. haven't tried it yet, but plan to..
ReplyDeleteUncle Vic - Interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that you only notice it when you're driving at speed on the highway and then forget to clean it when you get home?
ReplyDeleteJust my two cents: as a windshield is made of glass why not use the same glass cleaner you use for your windows, the way you proceed at home?
ReplyDeleteSpares you the buying of a so-called 'specifically-designed-for-windshields' product, and the hassle of reading useless instructions :-)
Ma - I do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteLaurent - Because humans just love to make things complicated.
The inside glass in my Colorado has only been cleaned twice in eight years.
ReplyDeleteAnon@4:18pm - You made me laugh, thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have found that rubbing alcohol does a better job than Windex at removing the film from the inside of my windshield. Make sure to leave the car doors open for ventilation while rubbing the alcohol with a microfiber cloth.
ReplyDeleteAnon@6:31pm - Very good advice!
