Love all those vehicles. That pick up... I wish someone would bring back that design and keep it simple with the same type of mechanical stuff, rather than electronic.
1960 Buick Le Sabre in Tampico Red. Invicta and Electra were the other models in 1960. Le Sabre's were equipped with a 364 cu.in. V-8 and weighed 4100 lbs. Invicta and Electra had a 401 cu.in. V-8 and weighed from 4200 to 4550 lbs. The Le Sabre and Invicta were on a 123 in. wheelbase, the Electra was 126 in. The Le Sabre and Invicta were 217 in. long, the Electra was 221 in. long and the top tier Electra 225 was, you guessed it, 225 in. long. All used the Twin-Turbine Dynaflow. (in 1964 Buick switched to Hydra-Matic) Sedans could be had as 4-window flat-top sedans w/ wrap-around rear window, and 6-window curved roof sedans. The GM accountants would have fits building a car like this today. - Rj
