Well that was just jaw-droppingly beautiful! Look, I'm gay, okay? Anything resembling glitter hooks me in, like a fish to a shiny lure. Can't have too much sparkle in our lives, right?
ReplyDeleteMilleson - Right!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. Thanks, Rick. Growing up, I loved seeing fireflies, but this is the first time I've seen the synchronous type. Unfortunately, in Hawaii where I now live, there are no fireflies of any kind.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it reminded me of the Mark Twain quote about writing: "The difference between the almost right word and the right word is the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning."
Larry - I remember seeing them in the summer when I was a kid. (As far as writing goes, I usually end up with the "almost" right word.)
