If you haven't already read it, read the 1619 Project book. It will give you a better understanding about why all this suppression is happening.
ReplyDeleteRoberto - Thanks for your comment. While I have not read the book, I went to Wikipedia to get an idea of what it's about. While the project contains some flaws, the backlash has been blown entirely out of proportion and does not justify suppressing the contributions of African slaves. For the snowflake conservatives to use that as an excuse to carry that further, to repealing social progress, is repugnant.
ReplyDeleteOrganized religion is all about controlling women - always has been. It's a major thread to be found in every single religious frame of mind. While this has become a political issue - its roots are religious in nature. We need to do away with such organizations if we wish people to have autonomy over their own bodies we first need to free their minds.
