What is very different between our two countries is that many jobs here that are in workers shortage is offering work that begins at around $20 to $25/hour and more for more specific ones.
Also here in province of Quebec, we have a public day care system to allow moms and dads to go to work with affordable rates: they pay $10 per day per child in those day care for kids. Those day care are subsidized the same way as our public schools.
For the benefits of a work is the same for all of our workers. We have universal health care but many jobs employers are providing more with group health insurance that are not very expensive to complement the universal health care system.
What helps too mainly in Montreal is that the cost of life isn't as exoensive as some other cities in Canada and in USA.
