Stunning light pillars dazzle in the northern US sky

It has to be brutally cold and the air must be calm

I feel badly for all of you who are cold enough to possibly see these.

  2. Texan people are in deep.... s...now !

It's not usual to have such freezing temperatures there so they're not ready for it. Nor were their administrations in the state or cities.
For us in Canada, like in Montreal, that cold isn't that bad because we have well insulated houses, hydro electricity reliable system and well heated houses.
For the snow, we had a over 6 inches snow two days ago that came from Texas and our 10 000km of streets are already almost out of snow.

This is a consequence of that artic votex getting down south trough the low country side.

So, sometime USA forget that we are in NORTH America.

  4. JiEL - Not to mention they have a Texan mentality with a mental Senator and Governor.

    PurpleWold - I believe you're right!

  5. This is so sad for all those «normal» people of Texas.
I saw that Republican Governor on CNN and they showed his speech that he did on «Fuck News» than compared it to his speech on local tv.

    What a snake...

  8. I was in TX in 2011, working on my last project, when their last big chill hit. It was pretty bad. They didn't learn their lesson. But, that's Republicans for you - Greed first, People second.

  9. After viewing many reportages on the situation in Texas, this administration and state had dug their own grave by wanting to be the only ones to provide electricity to their citizens in a oil based electricity power plants.

As an island ignoring and not permitting the surrounding states to help and rescue them, their arrogance will cost them lot of lives.

It was at more or less time a «Titanic» situation.

That what happens when you let politic and economic restrictions take care of the safety of a population.

  10. Am I the only one who is ingenuous enough to simply think "Wow! Nature never ceases to impress me with its beauty"?

  11. whkattk - That's what the meme in the right column says about GOP: Greed Over People.

JiEL - Titanic is a good analogy.

BatRedneck - No, not the only ingenuous one. I just think we got off onto a tangent.
