Our House

This is the front of the house. In this picture the two areas on either side of the driveway have been freshly "terra-formed". The city offered to put in a swale to collect rainwater runoff from our roof, so we took them up on their offer. The swale is on the right-hand side; the left side merely runs onto the yard, but in a decorative way to mirror the right side. After they were done we had the driveway pressure-washed.

This is the swale area growth after a couple of seasons. It's fun to watch it fill up when we have a hard rain, which doesn't happen all that often.

This is the floor plan that was registered with the city. There are a few things that the builder changed. For instance, the front window is not a flat one, but a bay window, with a window seat. Also not on the plans are two skylights in the living room vaulted ceiling and one in the hall bathroom.

Jerry and I had been looking at condos but we didn't find anything we liked. Out of curiosity we looked into houses. This was the first one we saw and we fell in love with it.
