The Greydon Square meme is something that has always puzzled me. How on earth can you believe in a religion that was used to oppress you?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference between Texas Bible reading mandatory in all schools and the Koran Islamic countries that are enslaving their people to Allah ? NONE, both are restraining freedom of thoughts and actions for all of their people.

Once each individual who has not been totally sane-washed achieves their "Day of Enlightenment," they will know that most of the damage, destruction, chaos and loss of human life has been perpetrated by religions around the globe. Once that knowledge becomes clear, they will be forced to question their belief system and make changes to reflect the new thinking. God, Yahweh, Allah, Buddha and Mohammed will be relegated to the status of Zeus, Hera, Jupiter and Juno; those gods we now accept as mythological beings from a time when man created these gods to somehow justify their existence. And that will be a glorious day. My gut instinct tells me that this transition will happen in the next 50 years, that is if all the individual religions can keep from blowing up themselves and the planet, which would nullify my theory.
ReplyDeleteBack in the 60's here in Province of Québec, we rejected the main religion here, Catholic Church, which gave us more freedom and better policies for ALL of us.
DeleteNo more religion in schools, parlement, public services etc.
Today we live in a more equal society, not perfect but more incline to put good laws for ALL no matter race, sex or religion.
But we are now facing another obstacle with the rise of Muslims coming here and trying to impose their way of life and retrograde religious beliefs mainly against women.
Some Muslim leaders in Ontario many years ago asked the Ontario government to put Shariah law over our Canadian law for them. The answer was very straight: you live in Canada and ONLY Canadian laws are the one to be in practice.
It's a constant struggle here to maintain our freedom without any religious influences.
