ReplyDeleteFor such a beautiful man, he had a short, kind of unremarkable career in the adult entertainment industry.
ReplyDeleteHis first appearance was for Playgirl Magazine using the alias Chris Callan. He wasn't the centerfold, but one of the extraneous photosets they used to slip in to fill up pages. Next, he appeared in a straight film in 1984 called "Fox Hunt, Volume 4;" this film - done by a European production company - had produced the previous three volumes of this set and in the US it was titled "Peter North's European Vacation [Vol 1/2/3/4]," respectively. Link played a bit actor in the film as a friend of Peter's that joined him in an escapade. It may have been through Peter North that Link Benedict was introduced to the world of gay adult entertainment.
He was 24 years old when he first posed for Colt Magazine in 1985, during the transition of the company from the artistic vision of Jim French (aka, Rip Colt) to other photographers. Standing at 5"11 with a spectacular 215 pounds of muscle and good looks, he did four produced photography sets (three color, one black and white). I say "produced" because that was the output; however, the B&W set contained B&W images that also appeared in the color versions, so obviously the sessions produced output was released between those four sets.
It is published that he was uncut and had 8.5 inches; however, I've looked at several photos of him in many various states of arousal (beyond the pics Rick provided) throughout the years and I would say that none of them came close to showing that to be the case. Besides, that measurement comes from his Colt profile and as I've stated before, I think they vastly exaggerated a lot of their model's member sizes to sell magazines and movies.
He did the obligatory solo scene for Buckshot Video's "Minute Men Series 1" along with Dave Lash, Peter Stride and Ryan Hayward in 1987. After that, he drifted a bit and did five other films - one for Colt's "MuscleGods Productions" subsidiary (another solo), then four others for Rage Video and Vivid Video. The Vivid Video productions were the only films where he did engage sexually with other actors.
After that... nothing (at least of any note that survives) after 1997. I did read that (at the time) it was rumored that while he was hot and did great solo scenes, he just didn't have a very sexual or sensual spark with partners on film; in some instances, he couldn't get it up (pre-Viagra days, remember those with fluffers?!). This may have been because he was straight, and couldn't even produce a realistic G4P scene. Since he had done so many solo scenes (three out of six gay film productions) his phone stopped ringing from directors and production companies.
Regardless, a beautiful man! Thanks for the memories, Rick!
