2026.0512.0001-Tuesday...
My niece and her boyfriend are sharing a two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn and it is well over $4k a month in rent. Just absurd! But that is where their lives and careers are.
ReplyDeleteRent hasn't reached those heights here....yet. But they're working on it.
ReplyDeleteIn Montreal a 3 bedrooms apartment in a new condo building is $3000/month.
ReplyDeleteI know it because my son is paying this for his 3 bedrooms apartment in a wealthy neighborhood.
Other wise the average 4/12 rooms goes out for around $ 1600/month.
For me as I live in my 3 bedrooms apartment since 20o7 my rent then was $700/month but since it went up but not that much and is according to the rate of inflation because my landlord has to comply with rent laws here.
I'm now paying $935/month but as my landlord forgot to raise it for two years, in July it'll be $995/month.
I have to pay electric power ($126/month) which is not very high if I add to the rent.
I live on a second floor building built in 1954 so not a new place but well preserved and mostly at 500f of the metro station with a nice park in front of my place.
JiEL - Sounds like you have a good deal.
DeleteDoes anyone hear an echo?
