Did the "lavender wedding" thing due to his career but later was involved in relationships with men. Accomplished author, somewhat sad life and gone too soon from stomach cancer related to his HIV status(Wikipedia)

ReplyDeleteIl est regrettable qu’il n’ait pu profiter de ses ambitions cinématographique (ce salaud de Otto Preminger), ainsi que ses relations avec Clive Clerk et Casey Donovan, en raison du conditionnement qu’il avait subi de fait de l’homophobie aux États-Unis.
J’ai apprécie ses romans «Harvest Home», et «Crowned Heads»- des nouvelles sur le vieil Hollywood, ainsi que son œuvre posthume «Night Magic».
Comme bien des auteurs et des artistes, Tryon se rendit à Paris pour y jouir de sa liberté personnelle, de l’inspiration et de la joie de vivre parisienne :)
