From the late Art Deco set back high rise of the Dailey News Building to the sleek tower glass of the Seagram Building came a change of structural support. The Dailey News Building relies on internal steel crossbeams and reinforced concrete walls, both weight bearing. The Seagram Building only relies on an internal reinforced steel beam structure at its core. It’s glass windows provide little support at all.
