  1. The GOP only uses the book when it suits them. But when a tool they use is later used by another party is a whole different story.

    1. AGREE!! As they cherry-pick what suits their orientations, too.

  2. Nationalizing oil companies is not the answer. That's what "dictators" do, by observation.

That last one could be the ONE reason to forgive student loans, somehow. Rs don't understand "investing in the future" benefits the whole company and builds greatness for the country. Then get the tuition rates to where they need to be, making "education" a VALUE proposition rather than not. Same eudcation, less cost, higher value to the customers! Basic marketing!

    1. In the beginning of the 60's here in Province of Québec, the provincial government nationalized hydro electricity by buying all those little dam owners. Since then, Hydro Québec did grow and did build many huge dams to produce more cheaper electricity and all Quebecors are benefiting of low rates and the profits made by Hydro Québec goes to the Québec treasury.
Hydro Québec is also selling his clean energy to USA's states like New York and Mass or New Hampshire.
We are not a dictature but a social democracy.

    2. Hydro Canada did the same thing in Ontario. They became a very powerful force in the energy sector; not something that made for profit businesses happy.

The solution to nationalizing companies like oil and gas, is to do as Canada does, and make something like "Crown Corporations", companies that are solely owned by the government but opperated independently. That is, without political interference.
