  1. Some outstanding houses! Would be nice to afford the property taxes, much less the other costs of living in them. But then if I could afford to buy them, I should be able to actually live in them in the Grand Style they suggest. Thanks, Rick!

  2. That top one makes no sense. There's no dining room? Or owner's suite? And the pantry is off the studio? ;-)

    1. Yes, I was thinking the same thing, I couldn't make sense of any of it. Kind of a weird family home. A Mother's room, a son's room and a ?boy's room? What does that even mean? Creepy! Is there no need for a master bedroom because he's sleeping with...never mind. I tend to overthink things so they make sense to me.

  3. Welcome back, Rick! Yes, the floor plan is weird. In addition to having no dining room or other space to eat, and the pantry being on a different floor from the kitchen, the house is clearly built into a hillside, and it has a screened porch surrounded by basement walls. But from the photo, it seems the house was actually built.

  4. Everyone - I agree with y'all that the first house is a strange one.

  5. That first house is complex.
I would imagine the sitting room would double as the dining room since there is booth seating and a table in the corner.
The boy’s room must be for a houseboy, how convenient that his room is next to his male employer’s studio suite.
The selfish owner seems to have the first floor to himself, with the living room, bathroom and boy’s room being the exceptions.
