  1. LOTS of great designs from GM that year! The Grand Prix is probably the best one. Thanks for posting, Rick!

    1. Pontiac enjoyed great success with Jack Humbert and Bill Mitchell and their team of engineers and stylists.
The stacked headlamps and coke bottle shape of Pontiacs made the 1965 models top sellers for GM, as they were #3 in sales behind Chevrolet and Ford !
Pontiac went to stacked headlamps in 1963, other GM models and other carmakers followed suit. Pontiac was the first to utilize parallel windshield wipers in 1965, and the first to develop hidden wipers and front windows without vent windows in 1967. More innovative and styling features that ended up on all other GM cars, and cars of other makers.

  5. My dad was a Pontiac man.
He had a 1966 Executive 4 door hardtop with every option. Just like a ’65 with a different grill.
