The 4th picture is an example of art that excites so many emotions in me. You may react otherwise but I first sensed the gelid aspects of the iceberg or iceshelf, then the feeling of insignificance compared to the commanding presence of the frozen giant. And then I saw the four distinct quadrants of the picture's composition; the blue/white block of ice, the shadow it casts on the water, the same water illuminated by the sun-filtered white sky. What an exciting capture for that photographer.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - Terrific observation.
DeleteWhat a wonderful sculpture... there, not there. And in a great setting.
