I hope they left a small patch of unpainted skin at the base of his spine so he didn't suffer the same fate as Bond girl Shirley Eaton did in "Goldfinger". (Urban legend that she died due to skin asphyxiation. Not true, she's 87 years old now.

Springfield College in Massachusetts has an annual tableau show wherein their athletes and phys ed majors pose covered in metallic paint in various artistic and athletic poses. The display had its heyday in the 1940s and 1950s, and a book was published about the tableau show back then. -Rj
