  1. Good morning Rick and Jerry. I see someone has a new interest in Egyptology today. I agree with Xersex, totally fascinating, but as a movie buff, whenever the subject of Egypt arises, I see Gilded Liz arriving in Rome, borne by the Black slaves on that mammoth platform with her son. However, Cleopatra starring Claudette Colbert began the title role in 1934 under the direction of Cecil B. DeMille and as with all DeMille epics, it's a dazzling black and white feast for the eyes. And about the time the Hays code was implemented, the costumes were quite skimpy for the time.
