What? The?? Fuck???
When I opened the Spam folder this morning there were 481 of them! I went to the trouble of reposting all of them.
This afternoon the Spam folder had 318 of them!
Arrgghh!!!
P.S. - I just found eight posts that had been moved to Trash, waiting for me to publish them. One was the Madeleine Albright post!
What the hell???? I wonder if your blog has been hacked somehow?
ReplyDeletePat - I just don't know.
ReplyDeleteWell, I swear to goodness...it wasn't me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have missed you! And nice to see blogger is still up to their same shit. I even shutter to look at that spam.......
You're obviously more popular than you thought.
ReplyDeleteIf you click on "manage", then click the square box, then click the checkmark, you can re-approve them in batches of 100 at a time.
ReplyDeleteMy own system has stopped re-classifying old comments as spam, as of a day or two ago, so hopefully yours will as well.
Maddie - Welcome back! I missed YOU!
ReplyDeleteInfidel - I did those things. Today's spam count was only 83, so maybe it's settling down.
A few days ago I found that 57 old comments had been marked as spam, and I thought that was bad, but 799 in two days? Blogger/Google has gone insane. And they're now moving old posts to Trash? I haven't had that happen, but I guess I need to check for that every day now, too. To quote the ending of The Bridge On the River Kwai, "madness ... madness."
ReplyDeleteLarry - Good quote. (I love that movie, BTW.)
ReplyDeleteIMHO, the algorithm has gone crazy and returns to spam what was in the comments all along. I too have noticed what you have noticed. At least once a day I look in spam to put comments back in their place.
ReplyDeleteXersex - It's out of control.
