  1. What is a «PTA» meeting? Again as a French speaking man sometime I have issues to now what those kind of letters means.

In all of this I can get it that having alot of people to attend some impotant events are very sad. What I would add that here, our college and university students did a huge manifestation ( the first on was on March 2012) to have FREE access to college and university classes. Meanwhile you can see the same ones ranking early in front of a Apple store for the next «expensive» iPhone. They also like to show on internet the photos of their trips to the south or in Europe etc..

  2. Like the last piece. Had a weekend job, part of my duties were cleaning public toilet. The ladies room were always nasty and had to unclog toilet of hygiene products.

  3. JiEL - PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association. You understood perfectly the meaning of the meme.

  5. Forgot to add...Yup, the PTA meetings may not be well-attended, but the crazies have definitely found their new forum to display their stupidity and hatred-the school board meeting. As for the election day picture, the Dems, Indies and the repubs that have finally discovered that their brains allow them free thought and reasoning powers better cram those polling places with their votes so we can begin the process of ridding local, state and federal government of unqualified and ignorant losers and start sending their supporters back under the rocks and slime from which they emerged.

  6. We don't have such PTA here but we have in each primary or high school a commitee where there are parents-teachers and the director named «Parents Commitee» to be a consultative group to see what is going on in the school.

Our Parent Commitees are very well attended and it's part of the Education law. Education is a provincial prerogative in Canada.

  7. Milleson - Yeah, I wondered about the toilet paper too. You are absolutely correct that people need to get more interested in politics if we're ever going to stop the madness.

JiEL - So many things are better in Canada.
