How come something so obvious and so simple to set has to be a matter of debate?
ReplyDeleteVoting being a constitutional right, doesn't anything that comes in the way of that right therefore illegal?
Whatever the day, even employers of any kind should have the obligation of letting their employees the opportunity and time to go casting their ballot on paid time. Denying this can only be considered as a rejection of a fundamental democratic principle.
BatRedneck - The U.S. is F*d up in so many ways.
ReplyDeleteGlad you shared it, Rick!
ReplyDelete@ Bat - it's about more than employers and employees. It's about the way the Republicans are blatantly gerrymandering districts and rigging voting laws in the the states they control to ensure they remain in complete control. The John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act need to be codified. If they aren't put into law before 2022, the US will no longer be a democratic republic. It will be a Banana Republic which will eventually morph into an autocracy.
