I cannot comprehend how anyone who sees the indescribable beauty of these first pictures and then views the sad mistreatment and devastation we are causing in the worlds oceans in these final pictures isn't concerned for the harm we are causing this vital source of life on earth. We'll only get one chance to make this right. Just a sorry indication that the human race is flawed in so many ways. You've given us much to think about today, Rick
ReplyDeleteLove it. I had no idea. I may have to steal one photo to do today's post. Thanks, Rick.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - "Flawed" is the defining word in so many ways.
ReplyDeletewhkattk - Steal as much as you want.
I agree with Milleson that we, humans, as intelligent we say we are, are spoiling our beautiful planet with so many bad behaviors.
ReplyDeleteWe are the only specie to destroy his own environnement and worse we alter the most important things that make us live on the planet: water, air and soil.
We have to act fast. But, is it too late?
Some of these photos are stunning. Some so sad! 😏
ReplyDeleteWe just gotta do what we can to save our planet, honestly! 💙
Nothing to add, for the pictures you posted Rick are so explicit as to the beauty us humans seam to be continuously eager to destroy.
ReplyDeleteIt is about time we feel ashamed - not the 'shame' that is found in Sunday's preaches - but the one we can face each time we go to the groceries or the mall. I still remember that first time I saw a peeled orange selled in a plastic box. Total nonesense. Just as I remember the Atlantic shores in south-west France 30 years ago, covered in plastic garbage that had derived from Spanish coast open dumps.
Hint: accessing a beach for leisure time should only be granted through spending a bit of that very time picking up whatever garbage we consumers are accountable for.
Again, just my two cents.
BatRedneck - I like your two cents.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen those videos from that group that goes out and rescues seals who have become entangled in nets & fishing line? It's horrifying and tragic that they should have to do it but wonderful that they do and incredibly satisfying to watch them at work. Here's a link to their channel:

Thanks, Rick!
Jimbo - Thank you for the link to the video. That is really quite something to watch.
ReplyDeleteTragic. Humans. We ruin everything.
