  2. As always in this era, the kitchens are tiny and the dining rooms much larger. The Caswell even has a dining nook (presumably for breakfast) in addition to the dining room, plus a sewing room upstairs. Very elegant, unless you're stuck in the kitchen – but that's probably for the servants.

  3. All fine houses, built at a time when houses had personality.
    The Castana is a nice casita, the Caswell is stately as stated. The Cavalier just needs a downstairs guest bathroom which can be tucked under the stairs.

  4. Wonderful! I recall looking up - and finding - a few Sears & Roebuck homes online with similar (but clapboard) character that are still standing.
