Last building: Two swimming pools? Five cars? And not a single room with any privacy.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer the castle in picture #2. It might be old, but it's got more taste in a single brick than that garish cubistic monstrosity, and at least people can't see into it.
Infidel - I'm sure there's more than five cars in that garage.
DeleteConspicuous consumption and opulence has always nauseated me.
ReplyDeleteWhew...For a minute there I was worried about that little "starter home" at the bottom, but then I saw I had no worries. Be sure and look in the upper left-hand corner. There is the helipad that I needed for parking my helicopter, but now I can sell it because the house comes with the Bell helicopter in the picture.
ReplyDeleteand interesting to note, these mega-mansions in L.A. are usually spec homes, built with no owner in mind and usually sell for half the asking price, if they sell at all. This monstrosity was listed at $250,000,000.00. Any takers?
Milleson - Unbelievable ain't it?
DeleteThe last two pics remind me of homes in Honolulu abandoned by Japanese owners because they did not want to pay taxes. We went hiking and spelunking a lot... and would come on these magnificent homes open to the elements with the grand piano (now in sorry shape) still sitting there. It was freaky. And these homes were everywhere back then... 1997-98. I was amazed at the wealth abandoned.
