DAMMIT! This should have been posted on the Ninth...
It is already happening here. During the height of the post-October-7 anti-Israel and anti-Jewish mob rallies, many Jewish businesses across the country were targeted for boycotts and vandalism. Those businesses had nothing to do with Israel; it was enough that they were Jewish-owned. This week there was a full-blown pogrom in Amsterdam. Mobs attacked dozens of Jews in the streets while the police stood by and did nothing. We are already in the equivalent of the early stages of the original German Nazi movement. The point is to quash it before it proceeds any further.
Infidel - Quash it whether it's from the left or the right. Now that we've elected a madman back into the presidency, the tumble towards this won't be far behind.
Of course. The right and left both have their own traditions of anti-Semitism, and both are equally toxic and need to be defeated. In the US right now it's coming mostly from the extreme left (campus radicals and suchlike), while the pogrom in Amsterdam was from what I would consider the extreme religious right (jihadist Muslims). Evil is evil no matter what brand it wears or what excuses it makes.
I hope never hapens again. Thaťs terrible what Infidel says: there in the US, in Amsterdam (with the far right at the government) always hate jewishs. But why?, there's no answer. Why??. They're like you and me!. As the documentary in youtube: teach the lessons. Humanity never teach the lessons!!.
The political right always in need of their scapegoats, then as now. The Magas believed it when Taylor Green said lasers were used by Jews to start fires in California, get twisted in knots when George Soros is mentioned and they even have groups like moms for liberty that quote Hitler. They strangely love Israel, yet deep down as proven by their own words, hate Jews. When they get caught up in their hate filled rhetoric, they quickly deny what they say out loud, and claim they were misunderstood. They fawn over Putin of Russia, Orban of Hungary and other authoritarian type leaders in the world, and try to revise history to excuse dictators. These are facts, they can deny all they want, they will find that their hatefulness will boomerang. -Rj
The hate group being targeted by Trump and the his fascist party aren’t Jews as much as immigrants seeking political asylum—similar to the way Jews were seeking asylum from pre-war Germany. Currently the predominant group at our southern border are from Venezuela trying to escape the economic and political violence of communism. In the past Republicans would have had at a sliver compassion for their plight to escape communism, but now they are simply paws to stoke hate and anger. Their promise to round up 3 million people is frightening.
Sadly the majority of American voters on November 5th issued a huge collective shrug to fascism, racism, sexism, lying, cheating.... basically saying character in a president doesn't matter. Being willfully blind and downplaying the fascist threat was the order of the day. Shades of Weimar Germany 1932! Well now we all will have to live the results. Zero guardrails left (if House if lost). Hitler had the Enabling Act 1933 which gave him dictatorial power. Trump has Project 2025 and right wing extremists who can implement all these dictatorial decrees with zero push back from the courts since SCOTUS is bought and paid for. Buckle up America and the world. We are in for a wild ride. 2024 was the beginning of the end for American democracy and established law and order. Our grandparents fought the fascist threat in WWII for nothing....
