Very interesting design! Whenever I see something like this, I tend to consider all of the stresses on the structure and how they were compensated for. Like that unsupported overhang, for example. How the structure below it was beefed-up to handle it for a 50+ year lifespan of the structure. Neat stuff! Thanks.

Add a pool and I could live there!

For those of us who like to spend our days at home naked, a house like that would be a magnet for area voyeurs. Glass wall window curtains would be drawn shut all the time!

Frank Lloyd Wright's "Falling Water" house has stood the test of time with a few structural improvements. Completed in 1938, it features several cantilevered overhangs and is considered a high point in architectural residential design. I can't help but look at this house and hope the engineering was well-planned and we won't read the news one day about a dinner party that ended abruptly when the guests were flattened by the overhang, Seriously.
@ChrisA - I say if they're looking to see a show, put on a production they won't soon forget!!!

To @ChrisA, I would only worry when they stopped looking

At least this cantilever type house is not built near or over water.
Falling Water was built over a stream and suffers from corrosion damage of its structure, costly maintenance and repairs are a result. -Rj

Yeah but, Falling Water was built in 1937, and was neglected for a considerable time too.
