The NRA needs to get back to its roots as a gun safety advocacy group. NOT the politicized advocacy group it has become. TAX all guns, require licenses just like a road-use vehicle. THEN make any political contributions to politicians where anybody can easily find it . . . transparency of them AND how said politicians voted against "gun safety". Their 2nd Amendment orientation is out-dated and obsolete, in many respects as we now have "well-regulated militias" run by the national government.
Anxiety leads to fear and paranoia, which leads to gun purchases AND use against others. NOT for protection of our physical beings, but for our own perceived dominance over those we might not like or what they might do. GUNS might win wars, but not minds.
"MAGA" hats indicate a particular mind-set/mental capabilities of those who might wear them. When I see a male display lots of guns, being proud of them, as if HE is going to arm the whole county, smiling, it give me an idea of his physical attributes and how much he is trying to compensate for "lack of size". Same with lifted pickup trucks. Seeking to prove how "dominant" he might be.
Cdadbr - It's going to take a lot to change that mind-set.
I agree, Rick. And on top of that, I suspect a lot of those guys can't get their cocks up when they need to.
