It's getting worse and worse every damn day. Young people (18-25) need to remember this stuff when the election comes around. That's the only way it's going to stop.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Hakeem, but I have to clue you in on something here. NO other country is calling our country civilized. Anymore. They get it. They see it on the blood-splattered walls of our schools, synagogues, gay night clubs, malls, workplaces, front doors. All because of a misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment pushed by a controlling gun lobby, supported by an obsequious group of gun owners and every legislator whose pockets are filled with NRA money and continue to vote against all attempts at sensible gun legislation. When a civilized society becomes uncivilized, civilization will cease to exist.
ReplyDeletePat - Their future is in their hands.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - You are so good with words!
Fortunately I don't see guns and violence in this country getting any better. It seems to be so low on politicians agendas, and reasons they can use for re-elections promises, but once in office ....still don't pursue it. I see the situation of this only getting worse.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Milleson as being a Canadian living at 45 minutes from the US border, even now thinking of going to visit some of my American friends in Delaware, it gets me some goose bumbs.
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong in USA it seems that only «money» is the main «god» who is the factor that leads any part of your society.
Listening to CNN, there was the lady talking of going on election for office and what came our is how much money she could get....
For sure it needs some money to present someone for election but the difference with here in Canada, is that we have some limits for someone to fund a candidate and the Director General of Election here is giving some money to EVERY candidates to help them, no matter the party.
(We have 5 parties on federal side and 4 on Quebec provincial side)
Maddie - I'm afraid I have to agree with you.
ReplyDeleteJiEL - We need Canada's system!
