Lovely...and I'd gladly live in any of them.
ReplyDeleteThe first, Parkview plan is my favorite for many reasons.
ReplyDeleteFirst the bedrooms spaces are awesome and the other rooms are well situated and very large too.
In my past life, I owned 4 houses and was always interested in architecture.
They say that you need to live in 3 houses before you find the good one.
My last one was almost the perfect one for me.
JiEL - I agree the Parkview has a good layout, but the master needs to be larger with a full en suite bathroom.
ReplyDeleteNot important for me to have such a larger bedroom and also not with a suite bathroom too.
ReplyDeleteIn my last house I had a fairly nice main bathroom near my bedroom and I had built another bathroom in the basement for my two teenager sons in which there was a shower instead of a bath and in which I've installed the washer-dryer duo too. Must say that we then all were taking our shower there.
My grand father in the 60's said to the parish priest who wanted to build many bathrooms for each priest in the new presbyter (house of the priest): "Never will I approve this none sense as I have only ONE bathroom in my house where I have 9 kids, the old mom of my wife and his brother.
Must say that my grand father was mayor of the city for 15 years and no one would dare question his judgement... LOL!
I also think that seeing what is going on in Ukraine, wanting some luxurious bathroom is kind of selfish and not necessary.
JiEL - Yeah, I'm constantly reminding myself that not being bombed is the ultimate luxury.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is intriguing. As for those floor plan models... wow. I just can't imagine homes being selected that way, but it does explain my neighborhood... as there are blocks and blocks where the same six or seven designs are prevalent.
ReplyDeleteupton - Welcome to suburbia in the 1950s.
ReplyDeleteI live in a neighbourhood built around 1910. It was an "addition" added to the NW side of my city and our homes look very similar simply because that is what the was, the contractor were offering...not just suburbia...
