  1. Most sensible corporations would NEVER hire most of the dumpster fire that is the GOP rank and file... yet, they funnel money into their campaigns to get them elected and reelected. Why? Because stupid is easy to manipulate. You wave money in their dumb faces and they will do anything... and I mean ANYTHING corporate America tells them to. Like... don't tax the rich or point out that we're price gouging during a pandemic (which in turn makes inflation rise.) DUH.

  2. The SCOTUS is lost for the next generation. It will continue to reel in freedoms while declaring they are protecting freedom. The problem is that they're "protecting" freedom for a select few rather than the whole of society. She'll get confirmed, but it will be by a partisan vote. She should've been already. It took McConnell less than three weeks to put Comey Barrett on the bench. Sadly, the Dems always play nice.

  3. The way some judges in USA are nominated is so in regard of their partisanship and by that is biasing their judgement.

As long as those judges are put ther by any parti and the other blocking their nomination, Justice will never be out of subjectivity and worse, the religious influence which has NO reference to the Constitution of USA or the rules of law.

There was fortunatly a twist as some judges put by «the orage turd» who did rule against some of his demands.

In your country where ALL elections or nominations are associated to any of your two parties law and fairness will always be a source of challenge.

Something we in Canada don't have as the federal or provincial parties are different in some ways and it stops there.
No cities or villages mayors or town halls representatives are linked to any of those parties on the higher levels.

Our judges are obliged to have NO links to any political orientation and must be neutral.

  4. Pat - Unfortunately, your comment is spot-on. Would it be mean of me to say the Dems need to grow a pair?

  6. We have different constitution and our multi parti politic system allows us to have a better range of choices to govern us.
Even if on the federal scene, it alterns between the Liberal Parti and the Conservative all of the 3 other ones can get their points on the balance and many times the parti in power aknowledge it.

We don't have a President also which is a level less of the power.
Our Governer General representing the Queen here is more of a symbol with no real power.

What is the most important difference is that our elections on any levels cannot be rigged by any of our parties. The director of our elections is a neutral one and the rules of our election never would allow any parti to gerrymander on them. They would be prosecuted in court.

When we go voting, in each place there are representatives of every parties to assure the fairness of our votes. Nothing to be threatened or feeling some bad influence or bullying.

    So many differences for sure.
