An Illinois Democratic lawmaker who recently introduced legislation that would require individuals who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 to pay for their own medical expenses, including hospital bills, if they contract the virus has pulled the legislation, citing "unintended" division and threats he received as reasons behind the decision.

Having anti-vaxers to pay for medical care in case they get ill from Covid only seems fair.
It is one's liberty to drive a non insured car after all...
Call me extremist if you like but, if I ran a mutual health insurance company, I'd consider noticing my subscribers that their insurance policy would no longer cover for them if not fully vaccinated.
(that should be an easy trick put in motion, knowing how health insurance companies are greedy...)

This is what I'd like to see. I'd want Biden to reinstate the draft and the first deployed to fight in Ukraine as our peace keeping mission would be all unvaccinated men and women, single and married between the ages of 18 and let's say, 60, no deferrals or bone spurs!!! If they want to fight and kill people, let them do it against a real enemy, and not storm the Capitol to fight and kill Capitol police officers, ICU doctors and nurses, immuno-compromised elderly people, family members, friend, neighbors, and the nice lady at check stands everywhere!!! I am surprised by the racism on your blog since the group least vaccinated according to the CDC are African-Americans. Furthermore following your logic smokers with lung cancer and drug users or people who had unprotected sex with AIDS should be responsible for their own health costs since it was their decisions that resulted in their illness. While I am fully vaccinated and boosted, I understand people questioning chemicals with no long-term studies being put into their bodies.
