ReplyDeleteWill someone please explain the protocols of war to me? I am far from a strategic war analyst but even I can see where this is going and am dumbfounded as to why this is happening in the Ukraine. Another key coastal city (Mariupol) has been shelled and bombarded, leaving the population in hiding without power, not even able to count the dead or tend to any wounded civilians. Someone has said that this is a medieval war, barbaric and cruel in modern times. We all know we are not dealing with a sane person (Putin) and because this is not going as he planned, he will stop at nothing to save his face. One by one the cities in the Ukraine will fall, even if he has to level them to the ground. Eventually he will hit the major cities with devastating airstrikes and he will have won this war. WHY??? Is their nothing that NATO can do to prevent further carnage and end this genocide? I fear not and tonight I am so fucking depressed and ashamed that so-called civilized people still act out this way and that innocent people have to die as a result. If this scenario plays itself out, that shirtless piece of shit won't stop with Ukraine, and we all know that. Sometimes there are no answers for events like this. War will happen again and again and will eventually rid this planet of its evil force. I'm deeply inconsolable and ashamed that our young people will have this future to deal with in their lifetime. As a child we had those "under the desk school drills" during the cold war in the 50s, but as I remember it, those days were still GAY(happy) and carefree. Not like today where we get to watch this devastation and death in real time on our Iphones and TVs. Yep, we are quite the civilized world. Maybe they should change the definition of "civilized" to "knowing the right and just thing to do and then doing the exact opposite." Sad times ahead but hope you find some joy this weekend.

ReplyDeleteMilleson - Yes, "Rules of War". What an oxymoron! I feel your pain and wonder the same things. It's all such a stupid dance; a chess game to them. We would love for NATO to get involved but then the maniac who started this will push "the button". Try to breathe and play with the beautiful little girl across the street.
