That last one is a chuckle. Sigh. Such a sad state of affairs. I had no idea we were so behind the curve...

On the three last ones you can put Canada in it too.

We pay income taxes and consummer taxes too BUT our heathcare system is for ALL and at no cost. I also have 4 prescriptions meds but as I'm on our universal medicare for meds, I only pay a fraction of their cost.

Our electricity is provided by our Hydro Québec which is owned by us as its a gorvernment society so my electricity bill is $122/ month no matter the season.
More the profits made by HQ is going in the governement treasury for ALL of us to profit it.

We are only a 8 million people in the province but we had put a social democracy so we can help ALL of our citizens no matter race, sex or religious faith.

Ah, that's the key, isn't it? The humongous, ever-increasing funding for the Military-Industrial Complex in the U.S. Given yet another increase even though we pulled out of a war.

Pat - So many people could be fed and housed with that money.

Once again, all of these are so true and meaningful.
For the sake of 'educating' the freaky part of the American people I would advise that the MacDonald example be used in as many billboard as possible in the U.S., for it is outraging that people working for such an American company - and the likes of it - are paid an iota compared to other countries where workers’ rights are actually taken seriously.
The so-called low-skilled workers are still workers, not slaves.

Laurent - Just this morning I was thinking of billboards and wondering why they are used to expose the bastards.
