That last one is so true. I hear people ask how are we going to pay for repairing our country, it's going to be a burden on the taxpayer. I say, we paid for a 20 year war, so there must be money to pave our roads and fix our bridges.

OMG!
From my Canadian point of view, seems that all the levels of government in USA are tripping on the flowers of the carpet and big egos are blocking any politics to help even their constituants who are the less wealthy.

The richest will always be able to go on with their lives without really contributing to the people of the country that made them thar wealthy.

A «cha cha» dance and a «merry go round» system not even able to save REAL democratic vote rights for ALL Americans.
A system where bigottery and white power is battling and struggling to maintain its supremacy over the rise of immigrants and black people which is changing the balance of demography.

But of all this swamp of power battle, the sadest of all is that since the end of the civil war in 1842, USA is still struggling on «voting rights». Very very sad and disgusting for a country who is claming that it's the «first democratic» country in the WORLD.

Luke - Taking back all of those tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations would help a lot, too.

JiEL - "Tripping on the flowers of the carpet" pretty much sums it all up.

@Luke,

When a country like USA can pay for endless wars and can fly a helicopter on Mars but cannot take care of its population, its infrastructure cripeling for decades of no repairs, it just proves that the wealthiest are taking advantage of the capitalism economic structure to enrich themselves and have no interest in making «America the Best Place to Live In» for ALL Americans.

And that forever fear of the word «socialism» is such a none sense in a so called Christian country where «In God We Trust» and «God Bless our Troups» and «God Bless America» etc.. etc.. are often used but is more and more having such a senseless meaning now.

Jesus for those who believe in his teaching was a «socialist» as his words are to help the poorest and forgive every sinners etc... etc..

The fourth one says it all. I love the fifth one... I wish there were rules. And that last one? Heartbreaking.
