  5. Not a day to vent anger and be snarky. A new beginning. Got up too late to see anything connected to the departure of our American disgrace, thank you very much. Been bawling my eyes out throughout the day. This has scarred us all but we will feel better. A day loaded with symbolism. The most diverse crowd in inauguration history, more colors than a box of Crayolas, Mayor Pete and Chasten finally representing our family. A young gifted poet with a story for the ages. The flags, the bands, the military, Gaga, Jlo, Garth. Glorious! And then, the snowflakes subsided if on cue, President Biden rose to give his unifying speech, and the sun came out to warm all in attendance. Except for the masks, the absence of millions of well-wishers, and the razor wire barricades, it looked normal, what we expect to see on January 20 every 4 years. My concern now is for the Secret Service and the FBI. They have work to do to protect our leaders. It's calm today, but there will be other Oklahoma City bombers. Peace!

  6. Milleson - You said it all very well. I had goosebumps while listening/seeing. Such a drastic, uplifting difference to the previous four dark years.
